The Consolidated Board of Health was created as a collaborative effort to address public health problems within the Village of Fonda and the Town of Mohawk. Meetings are held annually and whenever a problem exists that needs attention. The Mayor of the Village and the Town Supervisor rotate serving as Chairman of the Board. A public health officer is named to a one year term annually.
