Village Elections will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Town of Mohawk Office Building. Polls open at noon, close at 9:00 p.m.
The following offices are up for election: Mayor-4 year term 2 Trustees-4 year term each.
Candidates solicit signatures to independent nominating petitions (available below in .pdf form) from at least 5% of the number of registered voters in the last election.
At this time, that number is 23 validated registered voters signatures.
If you are a village resident who will be out of the area on Election Day, March 20, 2012, you are entitled to vote by absentee ballot.
In order to receive an absentee ballot, interested persons must complete an absentee ballot application. Once this application is received
and the ballots are ready the Village Clerk's office will mail an official ballot to you at the address indicated on the application. Absentee Ballot
Applications must be received in the clerk's office no later than March 13, 2012 if the ballot is to be mailed, and no later than March 19, 2012
if the applicant is picking up the ballot at the clerk's office. In order for your absentee ballot to be counted in the Village Election, the completed ballot
must be received by the close of polls on March 20, 2012 by 1:00 p.m. at the clerk's office, or until 9:00 p.m. at the Village Election polling place.
